Everett Brown

Everett Brown, 93, of Woodsfield, OH passed away surrounded by family on the evening of October 5, 2013. Everett was born in Parkersburg, WV on October 27, 1919, the son of the late James Albert and Grace May McMahon Brown. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodsfield. He timbered and farmed for many years and then worked at the Monroe County Courthouse for 20 years before retiring. Everett was preceded in death by brothers Emerson, Kenneth and Chester Brown and sisters Gladys Tomalonis, Elsie Carducci and Garnett Elerick. He is survived by Georgia Garnett McGarry Brown, his wife of 69 years; son Virgil (Robyn) Brown; Grandchildren Ashley (Robert) Powell, Dwight Milstead, Chad Brown, and Kelly (Kevin) Bast; Great Grandchildren Ava Brown Powell, Ethan Powell, Zoe Powell, and Abigail Bast; brother Donald (Jean) Brown and sister Doris Dunn. Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church of Woodsfield on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon with memorial services directly to follow with Rev Tommy Mills officiating. Burial services will be held afterwards at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Woodsfield.
