In April 2000, Gary retired after 36 years of faithful service to AK Steel.
Gary is preceded in death by wife, Pam Deaton, and his parents.
He is survived by his children, Sherri Deaton, Paula (Russ) Linville, Misti (Jon) Tabor and Gary Jr (Wendy) Deaton; grandchildren, Sara, Jacob, Chad, Josh, Amber, Emily, Amanda, Andrew, Eryn and Alex; great-grandson, Leon; sister, Betty Jean Lester and brother, Hobert Deaton Jr.
Funeral services are Friday, February 10, 2017 at 10am at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home with his nephew, Pastor Brian Deaton officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Southwest Ohio in Gary's memory.
