Gerald served in the United States Army and worked for the DESC in Kettering as a contract negotiator. Afterwards, Gerald embarked on an entrepreneurial journey owning several businesses such as: Top Gun Video in West Carrolton, and McGillicutty's in Kettering. He then joined his brother Ronnie in Arizona, where he flipped houses, and also started several restaurants and sports bars, before returning to the Dayton area..
He was preceded in death by his parents: sister, Linda Phillabaum; and brother, Ronald Haller.
Gerald is survived by his daughter, Kellee Mackintosh; granddaughter, Mykah Mackintosh; and sister, Sharon Dean.
