Helen M. Tucker

Helen Marie Tucker, age 97, of Middletown, OH, passed away Thursday May 24, 2018 at Garden Manor Extended Care Center. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 19, 1921 to LeRoy and Lena (Nunamaker) Patterson. Helen moved to Middletown at age 12 and she was a lover of music since the age of 9. She studied music under Helen Ramsdell and later at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Helen served as the Financial Secretary and Office Manager of the First United Methodist Church for 32 years. She was a member of the Deborah Circle at church and the O.F.F. group. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 62 years, Robert, 5 siblings, Henry, Robert, Roy and Walter, a sister, Irene (Pat) Metzger and grandson, Geoffrey P. Wooddell. Helen is survived by her son, Kenneth A. (Carolyn) Tucker; a daughter, Gwendolyn I. (Gary) Wooddell; three grandsons, Scott Allen (Jennifer) Tucker, Robert A. (Noelle) Tucker and Gregory P. Wooddell; 2 step great granddaughters, Lynzee (Phil) Flynn and Sydnee Banks; a great grandson, Ty Tucker; and great great granddaughter, Addison Noelle Flynn. Funeral services are 11:00 am Friday June 1, 2018 at the Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 S. Sutphin Street, Middletown, Ohio with Rev. John Wagner officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery.
