Herbert Charles "Chuck" Hertenstein, age 76, of Springboro, OH; died Sunday May 6, 2012 at Miami Valley Hospital. Chuck was born in Mt. Clemmens, MI on September 19, 1935 to Herbert Travis and Charlotte Evelyn (Gonyea) Hertenstein. He served in the U.S. Army for 3 years and was formerly employed by Mound Labs for 30 years and also by Warren County Community Services. Chuck is survived by his wife of 49 years Sharon (Whitaker) Hertenstein; a son Mark Hertenstein of Springboro; 2 daughters Traci (Jason) Gabbard of Springboro and Carla (Bryan) Shepard of Columbus; 2 grandchildren Charlotte and Lydia Gabbard; a brother William (Vickie) Hertenstein; numerous nieces and nephews; and was preceded in death by a sister Delores Ellen Ruelle. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30pm Thursday May 10, 2012 at St Mary Church with James Manning celebrant. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery with full military honors.
