Jack Blake

Jack R. Blake, age 79, of Springboro, OH; passed away on Monday June 6, 2011 at Heartland of Miamisburg. Jack was born in Oak Hill, WV on September 20, 1931 to Kenneth and Sadie Blake. He was a veteran of the Korean Era serving in the U.S. Army as a military policeman, was a proud member of the American Legion in Miamisburg, and retired from General Motors in 1991 following 30 years of service. Jack is survived by his wife of 59 years Virginia "Jean" (Sloss) Blake; 2 children Stephen Blake and wife Karen, Debra Maupin, and 5 grandchildren Malia, Nicholas, Aaron, Benjamin, and Ariel; a brother Don Blake, and 2 sisters Betty Watson and Clarice Howard. Funeral services are Thursday June 9, 2011 at 11 am at Anderson Funeral Home 40 N. Main St. Springboro, OH. Burial will be in David Cemetery with full military honors.
