James Jeffery

James Wilbur Jeffery, age 80, of Springboro passed away Friday, November 11, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born January 2, 1931 in Oregonia, Ohio, the son of Elmer and Mabel Jeffery. Jim retired from DP&L as an electrician after more than 37 years of service. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jim was an Eagle Scout,and Ohio State Football's greatest fan. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Some of his greatest joys were family, children, nature and the outdoors. He was kind and generous to all.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife and soul mate, Phyllis in 2002; five brothers, Bud, Charles, Bob, Merle and Larry; and two sisters, Ann Williams and Jane Price.

James is survived by his children, Tricia Jeffery and Scott Jeffery (Gail); grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, and Elise. He is also survived by one sister, Marie Morton and numerous nieces, nephews, and family members.

Visitation will beMonday evening from 5-8 pmat Anderson Funeral Home (Springboro). Funeral service will beTuesday, November 15, 2011 at 11:00 amat the funeral home. Burial will be in Heritage Hills Memory Gardens.www.anderson-fh.com. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Dayton.
