
James R. Leonard, age 77 of Franklin, Ohio passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. James was born in Thornhill, Tennessee on December 20, 1939 to the late William "Bob" and Vada Leonard.
Jim was a veteran of the United States Army (Military Police), an avid golfer and member of the Franklin Golf Club. His proudest accomplishment was his family. Jim could be found at his grandchildren's sporting events, or at the golf club. He loved the Franklin Wildcats and the UT Volunteers.
Jim will be remembered as a "great man". He is survived by former wife with whom he lived, Penny Leonard; two daughters, Suzanne (Jon) Stickelman, Jenni (Larry) DeHart; son, Jim (Susan) Leonard; nine grandchildren, Tyler (Lexi), Alexa, Morgan, Connor, Brittany, Khenady, Wyatt, Ellee, Olivia; two great grandchildren, Lochlan, Teigan; two sisters, Barbara Young, Peggy (Jim) Dyas; two brothers, Robert (Rosa) Leonard, Larry (Pat) Leonard; family friends, Brenda Morris, Tammi Leonard and Sheryl Moon.
Memorial services are on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 5:00pm at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 East Second Street Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Chuck Wolfinbarger officiating. Gathering of family and friends will be held prior to service from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm also at the funeral home.
