

Jewell, Jeffery Robert, 41 of Middletown, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 15, 2010, after a battle with brain cancer. Jeffery was born in Middletown, Ohio on February 08, 1969, the son of William Joseph and Sandra Lentz Jewell. Jeffery was preceded in death by his Father and Grandparents; Robert and Nell Lentz, and Virgie Deboard. Jeffery is survived by the Love of his Life, wife Sherry Naylor Jewell of 15 years of Superior, Colorado; mother, Sandra Jewell of Middletown, Ohio; sister, Jennifer Jewell Dalton of Monroe, Ohio; nieces, Emma, Hanna, and Ella Dalton; inlaws, Edward and Bonna Naylor of West Chester, Ohio; and many other family members. Besides family, Jeffery was loved by so many.
In Jeffery's short life, Jeffery had numerous accomplishments and touched the lives of many. After graduating from Middletown High School, class of 1987 Jeffery graduated from Miami University, 1991 with a B.A. in Health Appraisal and Enhancement and in 1992 with a B.A. in Elementary Education. On June 3, 1995, Jeffery married the love of his life, Sherry and started a new chapter in life. Jeffery then went on to teach at Bloomfield Elementary in Trenton, Ohio. Jeffery touched and influenced many young lives through teaching and coaching over the years. Jeffery coached swim team and cross country and was in contact with many young lives, sharing his positive energy and building confidence in the young. Jeffery competed in many Triathlons and Ironman races over the last 20 years and after competing and loving the sport, Jeffery decided to touch lives in another career; Sports Massage Therapy. After teaching for 6 years, Jeffery attended SHI Medical Massage School becoming a licensed medical massage therapist. In 2000, Jeffery and Sherry left Middletown, Ohio to move to Superior, Colorado and start another new chapter in life. In 2000, Jeffery started his own massage business in Superior, Colorado and also worked as part of the USAT United States Triathlon and Duathlon Team traveling around the world being a part of the team medical staff. Jeffery has traveled to many countries working on athletes around the world touching their lives. The best massage therapist, his touching hands will be missed many.
Jeffery was a very special person that influenced and deeply touched the hearts of so many people. Jeffery loved and cared for people and had such a love of life, and energy that will never be forgotten by anyone that he came in contact with throughout his life. Jeffery's positive outlook on life has influenced others on how life should be lived. And most of all, has allowed the lives of others to be better just by knowing him.
As many know, Jeffery lived well, laughed often and loved much; he left the world better than he found it; and always looked for the best in others giving them the best he had; whose life is an inspiration; whose memory a benediction. Viva la JJ!!
We will never understand why God chose such an amazing person so young, but will rest assured that God has a plan.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 27, 2010. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. until time of service, at the Breiel Boulevard First Church of God; 2000 N. Breiel Boulevard, Middletown, Ohio 45042. Arrangements by Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home.
