Joseph Helton Sr.

Joseph Larry Helton Sr., age 69, of Trenton, passed away, Thursday, January 1, 2015 at his residence. He was born July 8, 1945 in Menifee County, Kentucky, the son of Benjamin Thomas Helton and Opal Agee Helton. Joseph worked in Technical Services for Armco Steel, retiring after 43 years. He liked woodcarving and painting, and was a member of the Woodcarvers Association and the Middletown First Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy Ann Pence Helton; one daughter, Jessica Michael Ruskaup of Trenton; one son, Larry Debbie Helton Jr. of Madison Township; five grandchildren, Gracieann, Andrew and Caroline Ruskaup, Hannah and Luke Helton; his dad, Ben Helton of Franklin; three sisters, Kathy Reynolds of Rising Sun, Indiana, Vickie McGee of Madison Township, Kim Godsey of Edmundton, Kentucky; and two brothers, Mike Agee and Dale Helton both of Middletown. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday at the Middletown First Nazarene Church with Reverend Jerry Heatherly officiating. Visitation will be 5-8:00 PM Monday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home and 10-11:00 AM Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at the North Monroe Cemetery.
