Kathleen Brown

Kathleen Margie Brown, age 84, of Maysville, Kentucky, died Monday, December 12, 2011 at Bethesda North Hospital. She was born on August 2, 1927 in Middletown, the daughter of Henderson McCarty and Lula J. Gravitt Gross. She was active in the Christian Missionary Alliance Church serving as a Sunday School Teacher and Head Deaconess, and also involved in the founding of churches in Ohio and Florida.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Dinzle Roy Brown Sr.; one son, Dr. Dinzle R. Brown Jr. and his wife, Pamela Elaine Brown; two grandchildren, Jillaine Kaye Ballenger and her husband, John, and Blaine Asa Brown; and four great grandchildren, Zachary M. Ballenger, Alliya M. Ballenger, Dakota Reese Brown, and Branson A. Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Harry McCarty and Earl "Bud" McCarty. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Mr. John Ballenger officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery.
