Age 65, of Middletown, went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service, strength and deep devotion to family. She was born at Fort Bragg Army base in North Carolina on April 2, 1960. She was a graduate of Carlisle High School.
As the oldest child and a loving sister to three siblings, Laurie carried a natural sense of responsibility and compassion from an early age. Those qualities shaped both her personal life and her career.
She proudly served her community as a paramedic with JEMS, AMED, and the City of Carlisle. Laurie then worked in the healthcare industry before moving to Virginia to be a live-in caregiver for her nephew Noah. Throughout her years in emergency services, she was known for her calm presence, steady hands, and unwavering commitment to helping others in their most vulnerable moments. Her work was not just a profession—it was a calling. She met every shift with courage, resilience, and a deep desire to make a difference.
Above all, Laurie was a devoted mother to five active and beloved children. They were the center of her world and her greatest accomplishment. Whether cheering from the sidelines, offering late-night encouragement, or guiding them with strength and love, she gave her whole heart to her family. Her home was filled with energy, laughter, and the steady reassurance that Mom was always there.
Laurie had a love for music and would often be found dancing or singing along to Jimmy Buffet with her family. She was a simple woman whose day could be made by a good cheeseburger, a sweet tea and some Reese’s cups.
She will be remembered for her strength, her compassion, and her tireless dedication to both her family and her community. Her legacy lives on in her children, in the lives she helped save, and in the countless people who were comforted by her care.
She is survived by her parents Bob and Becky Rogers; brother Kenneth (Lesa) Rogers, sisters Beth (Duane Fox) Rogers and Lynn (Chad) McIntosh; children Terrah (Shaun) Whitehead, Candi (Kenny) Bartlett, Stephanie (Mitch) Marx, Robbie (Jamie) Hiers, and Katie (Barry Johnson) Hiers; as well as 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made in Laurie’s name to The American Cancer Society or her favorite charitable organization St. Vincent DePaul.
A Memorial Service will be held at Anderson Funeral Home Life Celebration Center, located at 360 Commerce Center Drive, Franklin, Ohio, 45005, on February 21, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am. Following the Memorial Service, a Celebration of Life Open House will take place at the same venue from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
