Lawrence D Grimes

Larry Grimes passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 30, 2021. Larry was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 30, 1952, to Charles and Rosemary (nee Bost) Grimes. He attended St. Helen Catholic school until sixth grade and graduated from Springboro High School. After high school, he attended Sinclair College and graduated from Miami Jacobs Business College. At the time of his passing he worked as an IT professional at ATOS Solutions in Mason, Ohio. Larry enjoyed working on cars, going to drag races and car shows. He also loved spending time with his granddaughter Sophie and his niece Sara and nephew Sam. His sense of humor will be greatly missed by everyone in his family.

Larry was married to Penny Grimes (nee Osborne) for 50 years. He is survived by his wife Penny and two children daughter Marie (Doug) Kuntz and son Matthew Grimes. Two sisters Sharon Barnhardt and Teresa (Ronnie) Bowling and a brother David (Wendy) Grimes, as well as, his granddaughter Sophie Kuntz and niece and nephew Sam and Sara Grimes. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and sister Rachel Yazell. A private memorial service will be held at Springboro First United Methodist Church at 1:00 on Saturday, February 6, 2021.
