Lee Ann (Mim) Current was born January 1st, 1959, in Richmond, Indiana. She went into the pearly gates July 28th, 2021, in St. Paul Minnesota, peacefully after many years of a hard-fought battle of a long-term illness.
Lee Ann held many titles in her lifetime: Caregiver, Daycare Cook, Sister, Friend, Mom, and Wife. Lee Ann married the love of her life, Reverend, Stephen Christopher Current on June 5th, 1981. She served by his side for 41 years of ministry, whether it be in person or from a distance. Lee Ann’s greatest achievement in her life was being the best mother to her children. Lee Ann wanted her children to know that with love and the grace of God, anything is possible. Lee Ann was extremely proud of all her children and was glad to be able to give them as much knowledge as she possibly could. She was extraordinarily strong in her faith and believed that for everything there is reason. She loved Christmas music and it played all year around. Her favorite movie was the Sound of Music in which she loved to have her kids watch with her, until they got smart and hid the DVD. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and of course her fur babies.
Lee Ann survived by her loving husband, Stephen Christopher Current; her children, Lonnie (Michelle) Johnson, Micah (Alicia) Current, Justin Current, and Michaela Current; adopted children, Jeremy Harding, Jason Harding; one grandchild, Jesse Johnson; adopted grandchildren, Christian and Sarah Schreiner; mother-in-law, Bonnie Waddell; brother, Rex Goins; her four-legged grandchildren, Zoey, Gizmo, Java Rey, Buddy Love, Sassy Grace, and Bella Marie; as well as the many children that went through her household that she considered her own.
Lee Ann was proceeded in death by her eldest daughter, Abba-Gayle Current; her father-in-law, Homer Current; step-mother-in-law, Joanne Current; father-in-law John Waddell, and her beloved fur babies.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 14th, 2021 from 11am-1pm at Towne Church 3722 Towne Blvd, Middletown, OH 45005. A funeral service will follow beginning at 1pm, officiated by Rev.
