Lena Fairchild

Lena Pearl Fairchild, age 79, of Middletown, died Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Home where she had been a patient for the past four years. She was born August 20, 1931 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, the daughter of Curtis Oldfield and Molly Crockett Oldfield. Pearl loved being a wife, mother and grandmother, and devoted all of her time to them. She had many nieces and nephews that she dearly loved also.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles Fairchild; one daughter, Joyce Ron Solar of Trenton; one son, Paul Donna Fairchild of Okeechobee, Florida; three grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three sisters, Alma Stamper, Ruby Stamper, Mary McFarland all of Morehead, Kentucky; and one brother, John Oldfield of Adams County, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Anna Lawson and Thelma Grisby; and two grandsons, Tracy and Jason DeBord.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Tuesday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Reverend Rodney Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Butler County Memorial Park.
