

Leo H Bertram, age 93 of Middletown,Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Mount Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born in Morgan County, KY on May 8, 1924 to parents Elmer and Jewell (Wells) Bertram.
He served in the U.S. Marines in the South Pacific during WWII and called back into service during the Korean conflict for one year. He was a member of Breiel Boulevard First Church of God, the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton and the Antioch Temple Shrine.
He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Helen Burnett in 1946. He was employed at Aeronca Inc., and the Middletown Division of Fire, retiring after 31 years. He was known for his easy-going manner and kindness to others. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; infant son, Gordon L. Bertram and nephew, Michael Burnett and brother-in-law, Carl Burnett.
He is survived by a daughter, Sharon K. (husband, James) Hall of Ticonderoga, New York; and three handsome grandsons, Jason (wife, Natalie) Hall of Weston, Connecticut, Jeremy Hall of North Carolina, and Justin Hall of New York; two great grandchildren, Sophie and Aidan Hall; a brother, Corbin Bertram of Springfield and sisters-in-law, Eleanor Bertram of Middletown and Sylvia Burnett of Beattyville, Kentucky; several cousins and many dear friends of Middletown, Ohio.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 21, 2018, 2 pm at the Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village Chapel with Chaplain Karen Fleming officiating.
