Marie Deaton

Marie Deaton (nee Slusher) age 83 of Waynesville, Ohio passed away, Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Quaker Heights Care Community, Waynesville, Ohio. She was born on February 28, 1929 in Harlan County, KY to the late Marion and Sallie (Caldwell) Slusher. She resided for many years in the Carlisle and Franklin areas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Charles Deaton, a brother, Walter Slusher, and sisters, Judy Saylor, Archie Saylor, and Bertha Jones. She is survived by daughter Reva (Rick) Hoskins of Waynesville, OH and son Tom (Kim) Deaton of Sugar Hill, GA; sister, Darlene (Verlon) Lee of Harlan, KY; grandchildren, Angie Aldridge, Jessica Adams, and Brett Deaton; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Chad, and Aidan; in-laws, Patricia Deaton of Germantown, Ray and Georgia Deaton of Franklin, Opal Turner of Carlisle, James and Stella Robinson, Oma Shaw, and Alice Gross all of Miamisburg.

Funeral service will be Friday, August 3, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Victory Tabernacle Church (5419 Glendell Drive, Franklin, OH) Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service at the church.
