Mary Lanier

Mary Kathryn Lanier, age 82, of Middletown, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Atrium Medical Center. She was born November 28, 1932 in Miamisburg, Ohio, the daughter of Ralph Back and Edna Pressler Back. She worked as a school bus driver for Madison Township Schools, retiring after 32 years. She loved fishing, boating, and mushroom hunting. Mary enjoyed gardening, especially taking care of her flowers. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Dale Hudson of Somerville; three sons, William Barbara Lanier of Dayton, Joseph Teresa Lanier of Middletown, Randy Fern Lanier of Trenton, 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; four sisters, Jean, Jane, Florence Ann, Carol Sue; and one brother, Edward Back. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Lanier; her daughter, Susan; her parents; and a brother, Charles. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 am at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
