Otis Smith

Otis Franklin Smith age 91 of Franklin, Ohio passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011 with his family by his side. He was born June 4, 1920 in Buford Highland County, Ohio the son of Leonard and Lonia Smith. Otis proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Sgt. and Tank Commander during WWII including the Invasion of Normandy.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ethel; a son, James Leonard Smith; six brothers and four sisters; and a grandson, Johnny.

Otis is survived by his daughters, Faye Flannery Day and Jean Kidder (Herschel); and a son, Bob Stevens (Sue) He is also survived by his grandchildren, Cathy, Roger, Brandy, Bobbi-Jean, Jaime, Mike, Laura, and Rick and great grandchildren, Corey, Caleb, Zander, Sydney, Geordan, Trinity, Vincent Jr., Jacob, Celie, Kelcie, and Samuel.

Funeral service will be Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 12:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home (40 North Main Street, Springboro, Ohio 45066) Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park. www.anderson-fh.com
