Prithvi Dayal Srivastava

Prithvi Dayal Srivastava, age 87, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at his residence. Prithvi was born in Hardoi, India on August 1, 1936 to the late Sursar Dayal and Sidheswari Devi Srivastava.

He was a respected surgeon for many years in Lucknow, India and trained at the University of Dublin. Prithvi was a college professor in the New Jersey at Middlesex County College. He enjoyed playing chess, reading and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was the youngest of four children. He was preceded in death by his two brothers (Gadadhar and Ishwar) and one sister (Mohini). Prithvi is survived by his wife of 62 years, Manju Srivastava; his children, Bhuwan Srivastava (Dr. Shubhika Srivastava), Dr. Sangeeta Srivastava (Dr. Bal Krishna Srivastava); his four grandchildren, Komal Srivastava, Maansi Srivastava (Anthony Thomas), Dr. Geetika Srivastava (Dr. Trevor Schroeder) and Nikita Srivastava (Stuart Fetherston).

A visitation for Prithvi will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin, Ohio 45005, followed by a funeral service at 9:30 AM with Panditji Ashwini Kumar officiating.
