Richard Carpenter

Richard Allen Carpenter, 66 of Middletown, Ohio passed away in the comfort of his own home on October 12, 2012 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on May 21, 1946, the son of Marvin & Ruth Moorehead Carpenter. He is also survived by wife Joan Fleming Carpenter, sister Eleanore Dale Short of Middletown, Ohio, brother Ralph Ruth Carpenter of Hamilton, Ohio, two daughters Wendi Scott Jenkinson of Greenville, Ohio and Eileen Stanley Clark of Charleston, South Carolina, son Curtis Amy Carpenter of Madison Twnsp, Ohio 7 grandchildren ... Michael, Stephanie, & Jordon Jenkinson, Clinton Whitt, Savannah Clark, & Lexi & Breanna Carpenter.

Richard was a graduate of Lemon-Monroe High School 1964, US Army 1966-1971, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge 693 and Monroe United Methodist Church. Richard was an avid Nascar fan, Cincinnati Bengals fan and Cincinnati Reds fan. He often spent his vacations camping, going to the beach or visiting with friends and family members.

A gathering of family & friends will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Breitenbach McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin Street, Middletown, Ohio 45044. A Celebration of Life Service will also be held there on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park in Hamilton, Ohio.
