

Richard P. (Pat) Neff, age 72, of Middletown, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 11, 1953, the son of the late Walter R. and Agnes (Jankovich) Neff.
Pat is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Sherry (Wells) Neff, of Middletown; his children, Tara and Bill Sword, of Germantown; a sister-in-law, Patty Wells; his beloved German Shepherd, Tai. He is also survived by numerous other relatives, friends and squadmates.
Pat was a graduate of Meadowdale High School in 1971 and retired from The General Motors Truck and Bus Plant after 25 years of dedicated Service.
He was a Lifetime Member of the Middletown Sportsmen's Club, a Lifetime Member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association and an Ohio State Trapshooting Hall of Fame Inductee in 2006. Pat had numerous trapshooting accomplishments including, 4 Ohio State Championships, including the High All Around. In addition, he was the 1989 High All Around Champion at The Grand American and the 1990 Grand American Handicap Champion. Pat was the 1351st shooter to break a Grand Slam.
A Celebration of Pat's Life will be held on Saturday August 16, 2025, at The Poasttown First Church of God- Randy Wallace Hall, 6376 Germantown Road, Middletown, Ohio 45042 from 1:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.
If desired, the family suggests that contributions made in memory of Pat be directed to The Ohio State Trapshooting Association Foundation.
