Robert Cummings

Robert E. Cummings, age 69, of Franklin, Ohio passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015. He was born May 7, 1945 in Middletown, Ohio, the son of the late Robert and Ethel (Yetter) Cummings. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Luther Cummings, Paul (Frannie) Cummings; sister, Delores (Daryl) Wright. Robert is survived by his two daughters, Angelia (Tim Snider) Johnson, Amy (Robert) Slone; brother, James (Kathy) Cummings; sister-in-law, Wilma Cummings; two granddaughters, Stacey Johnson, Misty (Bradly) Hale. Bob was a veteran of the United States Army Ranger 101st Airborne "Screaming Eagles". He also graduated from Franklin High School and attended Miami University where he obtained a degree in nursing. He worked as an Emergency and Surgical Registered Nurse in Tampa and Dayton Regional Hospitals. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family. He was always willing to help his family and enjoyed shopping for them and helping with do-it-yourself projects. He enjoyed cars and motorcycles in his younger years, rebuilding many of them. He loved watching college and professional football, and was a loyal Cleveland Browns fan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and had a great respect for nature. Visitation will be from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Anderson Funeral Homes, 1357 E. Second St. Franklin, OH 45005, with a Memorial Service beginning at 7:00 pm with military honors. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the USO, P.O.
