Robert worked in IT for many years, repairing and installing large computers for NCR. He also built many machines and devices for work, including an ATM that was used for demonstrations. He traveled often for work, but was always ready to come home to be with his family. After retirement from NCR, Robert worked for KMart. He was also passionate about woodworking, and often lent his craftsmanship to his family's home.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Helen, and his sister Anne Wegner.
Robert is survived by his wife, Judith; his children Joanna (Edward) Brennan, Richard (Erin) Wegner, Jennifer Woods, and Elizabeth (Todd) Rutkowski; and his siblings William Wegner, Tom Wegner, and Mary Wegner.
