Ruth Marie O'Dell

Ruth was born September 20, 1938 along with her twin sister Rita to Laura and Claude McDonald. She graduated Julienne High School in Dayton, Ohio in 1956. Ruth took flying lessons and eventually flew solo in a plane! Ruthie married Richard Johnson in 1962 and had two children, Gary and Diana. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, bowling, golfing, skiing, playing cards, and traveling. Ruth retired after 32 dedicated years of service at General Motors Inland Division, Dayton, Ohio in 1990. Ruth later married Forest O'Dell of Centerville, Ohio. She enjoyed her dogs and grand-dogs. She obtained her Life Masters in Bridge and managed a bridge league for many years. Not surprisingly, her latest dog whom she adored was named Bridgette.

Ruth O'Dell is preceded in death by her mother, Laura Grace McDonald, her father, Claude McDonald, her twin sister, Rita Millard, and her second husband, Forest O'Dell. Ruthie will be greatly missed by her son, Gary Johnson; daughter, Diana Johnson Dodge; granddaughter Ellie Dodge, stepdaughter Chris Cartwright (Tim Mundy), companion Herb Bates, sisters, Claudette Spanel and Bette McCollister, first husband Richard (Joanne) Johnson and many more.
