Sheila Kaye DeBord

Sheila Kaye (Jackson) DeBord, age 79, of Franklin, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026. She was born in Middletown, Ohio, on July 17,1946 to the late Raymond and Dorothy (Henderson) Jackson. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Carlisle, Ohio.

Sheila graduated from Franklin High School (Franklin, Ohio), class of 1964. She

started her career as an office assistant at Rockwell International in Ohio. Upon having her children, she began working for Franklin City Schools nutritional services. In later years, Sheila began a career in transportation logistics for Osborne, Malone, and CRST. Upon retirement, Sheila was able to enjoy spending quality time with and caring for her grandchildren.

Sheila’s hobbies were crafting, crocheting, and playing musical instruments for her personal enjoyment. Her favorite past time was spending time with family and friends.

Sheila was proceeded in death by her loving husband, Ishmael DeBord. The two were married in 1965 and happily shared their lives together for 56 years. She was also proceeded in death by her parents, Raymond and Dorothy (Henderson) Jackson; sister, Carol Anne (Jackson) Flora; and brothers, Raymond Wayne Jackson and Philip Alan Jackson.

Sheila is survived by her 3 children: Gary (Ronda) DeBord, Kimberly DeBord, and Deanne (Matt) Weber; 5 grandchildren: Corey (Halley), Justin, Elijah, Zachary, and Emma; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved deeply.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 East Second Street, Franklin, Ohio 45005. Funeral service will start at the conclusion of the visitation at 12:00 NOON. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
