Thelma Doris Adkins

Thelma Doris Kirby Adkins, age 79, of Franklin, Ohio, passed away Saturday August 20, 2016 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born in Richmond, Kentucky on April 14, 1937 to late Willie and Christine (Still) Hopkins. Doris retired from the Franklin City Schools as the Director of Transportation after 30 years. In addition to her parents, first husband, Frank Kirby, Sr., sons, Donnie Allen and Dale Anthony Kirby, grandson William Harrison Kirby, brothers, James Harrison Hopkins and Joe Hopkins. Doris will be missed by her loving husband of 23 years, Roger Adkins; children, Vicki (Robert) Yates, Aleisa (Jerry) Jackson, Paula Owens, Frank (Sarah) Kirby, Phillip (Lisa) Kirby, and Rebecca (Christopher) LeForce; two step-daughters, Kimberlee Adkins, Beth (Paul) Jewett; step-son, Robert Adkins; grandchildren, Misty Middleton, Jamie Grice, Kristy Peyton, JR Roberts, Julie Reach, Jessica Gonzalez, Frank Kirby III, Lori Lamb, Michael Lamb, Ashley Denham, Joshua Kirby, Joseph Kirby, Mindy Pottorf, Amanda Cox, Jeremy Jackson, Augustus Lang, David Cox, Tony Moore, Ryan Adkins, Ashley Adkins, Keven Jewett, Breanne Jewett and Joshua Adkins and numerous great grandchildren; siblings Billie Sue Warmouth, Lois Carol Roach, Lloyd Donald (Betty) Hopkins; sister in laws Marlene (Carlos) Rose, Dorothy Kirby and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services are 1pm Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd St Franklin, OH with Michael Lamb, Pastor Bruce Lamb, and Pastor Bruce Cornett officiating.
