I was so sorry to hear this news.  Trudy and I became great friends while working together when she was a travel agent and Columbia College was her client.  We talked every day back then and became like family.  I loved hearing about all the wonderful things happening with her family as I could tell she was beaming with pride.
We stayed in contact after she moved to Ohio but didn'ttalk as much.  I always loved to get her Christmas cards with all the exciting news she would share.
Rest in Peace Dear Trudy.  My thoughts are with your family.

Hi my name is Skyla , I wanna start by saying how sorry I am, Trudy was a beautiful kind soul, her presence would light up the room and her remarkable kind words were very inspiring . Trudy treated me like family and in my heart and my eyes she was my family, may not of been by blood but she’ll always be in my heart. I enjoyed taking care of her and helping her anyway I could. She was always bright and so kind , I was always positive about everything she said even when she was upset, me being positive always put a smile on her face by how I saw things and how I was always positive. Just being able to keep her happy and smiling made me happy . I can’t even begin to put in words how amazing of a woman Trudy was, She was the kind of person that was out of this world, I learned so much from her and I was always grateful to have her apart of my life, Trudy always had so much love to give, She loved everyone in her family and her friends, she loved showing me pictures and how much they have grown. Little things kept her smiling. I miss her dearly, I wanna say thank you robin for always being so kind to me . I am very deeply sorry for your loss. Sending you love ❤️

To all of  Trudy’s loved ones,

I’m met Trudy at the pool Aqua classes in Gurnee, Illinois. Trudy spoke proudly, with a smile, about all of you. Her family was her pride and joy, at least when talking to us. I enjoyed knowing her, and seeing her at the pool three times a week. She was a strong, fierce, independent woman, and I’m glad she was part of my journey. 

May her memory always be a blessing.

One goes through life and makes friends that come and go. But, there are those special friends that are forever on our minds and in our hearts. Trudy, your Mom/Grandmother, was one of those for me. As you know, we met while sailing many years ago and kept in contact after your Dad/Grandfather’s, passing and spent numerous wonderful times together. She was a true friend and I will miss her dearly. She had that special spark about her and a wonderful smile and laugh. Thanks for sharing her with me!

You all, her family, were very special to her and the most important part of her life. She would do anything for you. I always enjoyed spending time with you when I was with Trudy.  I know we will see her on the other side of the horizon someday. She is with Ian (your Dad/Grandfather), Scott (your brother/Uncle), and her sister now and I know that they are taking good care of her.

Dear  Robin, Bill, Laurie and all of Trudy’s much-loved grands and greatgrands… you have been her sole delights ! During our phone visits( all we were able to do recently) , her voice would light up whenever she shared happy moments of you or pictures of recent weddings. Robin and Bill, we are so thankful for the memories of time with her at your amazing lake home last summer. Trudy was so happy  there  with  you and your family, after losing Scott.  We hope knowing your mom , dad, and Scott are all together will bring you moments of comfort and peace.
