

William J. Baker, age 77, of Clarksville, Ohio passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 at Clinton Memorial Hospital. He was born May 26, 1937 in Barwick, Kentucky, the son of the late Thomas and Mary Jane (Neace) Baker. William served in the United States Navy and also retired from General Motors. He was also a wonderful musician who played in the Bluegrass Badlanders band that played at a number of festivals in Ohio. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Taylor, Isaac, Tommy Gene, infant brothers, Warren Lean and Willard Dean. William is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margie Baker; his two daughters, Brenda (Ken) Moore, Wilma Baker; son, Timothy (Carla) Baker; three granddaughters, Jennifer (Nathan) Johnson, Stephanie Moore, Emily Moore; great-granddaughter, Ellie Johnson; step-grandson, Jonathan Hensley; step-granddaughter, Danielle Hensley; two step-great-grandsons, Bryce and Jayce Cooper; five sisters, Lillie (Bobby) McGowan, Hazel Zebold, Stella Ethridge, Mary Magdeline White, Bobbie Jo (Richard) Filar; two brothers, George Baker, Eddie (Sue) Baker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Anderson Funeral Homes, 1357 East Second Street, Franklin, Ohio, with Pastor Jim Lykins officiating. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10:00 am, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park with military honors.
