William Haynes Crocker

Crocker, William (Bill) H. age 86 of Springboro passed peacefully Monday, February 5, 2018 at Quaker Heights Care Community in Waynesville, Ohio. Born March 14, 1931 in Middletown, Ohio, Bill was the son of Frank and Grace (nee: Gillespie) Crocker. Bill graduated from Middletown High School in 1949 and married the love of his life, Betty (nee: Sabota) on May 20th, 1950. Bill was devoted to his family and believed in giving back to his community. Bill served as a member of the Springboro Board of Education, Springboro Athletic Boosters, member and past president of the Springboro Eagles Lodge, and life-time member of the Springboro Lions Club. Bill was inducted into the Springboro Athletics Hall of Fame in 1997 honoring his years of service and dedication to Springboro Athletic Programs Bill retired form Armco in 1991 after 32 years. In their “free” time, Bill and his wife operated C&C Trophies out of their home, providing trophies and plaques to local businesses, schools, and youth sports for 47 years.

Proceeded in death by his parents, Bill leaves behind his loving wife of 67 years, Betty. His children Deborah (Keith) Jacobs of Alexander, NC; Bill (Becky) Crocker of Springboro; Doug (Geri) Crocker of Goshen, KY; and Keith (Kelli) Crocker of Franklin. Nine grandchildren Shelly England, Kyle (Teresa) Crocker, Carrie (Jason Grimes) England, Derek Crocker, Colton Crocker, Dakota Crocker, Chad Crocker, Kristy Blair, and Kim (Don) Stover. Six great-grandchildren Lexie and Lenzie Adams, Jordan and Connor Smith, Cadence Crocker, and Ensley Crocker and his first great-great grandchild due in August 2018.

A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Friday 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Anderson Family - Life Celebration Center 360 Commerce Center Drive in Franklin, OH, with a Celebratory Service at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations in Bill’s name be made to Quaker Heights Foundation 514 High Street Waynesville, OH 45068 or to Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care 8069 Washington Village Drive Dayton, OH 45458.
