William Austin Storey

William Austin Storey, age 82, of Franklin, Ohio passed away peacefully at home with family around him, on Monday, July 13, 2015. He was also known as "Bill", "Boo-Boo" and "Yogi-Br'ar". He was born January 28, 1933 in Ewing, Kentucky the son of the late Austin and Marguerite (McCarty) Story. Bill retired from GM (Delco Moraine) in 1983 and stayed busy repairing lawn mowers, fishing at Caesar Creek, hunting, enjoying his property at Lake Cumberland and rooting for Jeff Gordon in NASCAR. He was also a member of Franklin Freewill Baptist. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Clyde Lee and sister, Audrey Vareen, who died as infants; and his beloved first wife, Patsy Joyce. Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy; his son, Dennis (Mary) Story of Franklin; daughter, Sheryl (Rick) Peffly of Germantown; grandchildren, Melodi (Rick) Chasteen of Carlisle, Butch (Michelle) Stidham of Germantown, Brandie Story of Louisville, KY, Jeff Story of West Carrollton, Heather Bowers of Zanesville; and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Friday, July 17, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Franklin Freewill Baptist, 6194 St. Rt. 123 N, Franklin, with Reverend Dencil Owsley officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Anderson Funeral Homes, 1357 E. Second St., Franklin. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Middletown, 3909 Central Ave., Middletown.
