Alicia was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Antonio and Maria Lopez. She later moved to San Jose where she was destined to meet and fall in love with Genaro Carpio. Their marriage was the true meaning of love and she will forever be in his heart. She was the Mother of 8, Grandmother of 19, Great Grandmother of 26 and Great-Great Grandmother of 1. She was family oriented with old fashioned traditions that she passed on to her family. Our favorite family times when we were young were at Vasona Lake, Alum Rock Park, Sea Cliff Beach and El Rancho Drive-in. She loved to cook and her specialty was tamales and menudo, chocolate birthday cakes with coconut on top and homemade tortillas. In her later years she enjoyed going to church, spending time in her garden, listening to music and going to the casinos. Alicia lived a long and fulfilling life and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
