Mom, today is your birthday.  You would have been 100 years old today.  Last night while as was decorating my Christmas tree, I hung your picture along with an angel you had made.  I draped my arms to hug you Mom.  I can't tell you how good that felt.  What I would give to have you here with me to celebrate Christmas and your birthday.  I enjoyed having lots and lots of gifts for you.  It truly did give me joy.

This is the day  2 years ago that your angels took you away. I know Kenny is there with you and the rest of our family so we miss you all but  we know in our hearts that none of you have the pain that you had here on earth.  We love you all and can't wait until we see you again!!      Sharon

Mom, It's been 2 years already.  It seems like just a short time ago you left us.  There's not a day goes by that I don't still grieve for you, Mick & Ken. So many of our closest and dearest have passed in such a short time. It's all we can do to remain strong Mom.  Watch over us, whisper when you can and make your presence known.  Love you Linda

Mom tomorrow May 5th is 2 years ago when you left us to be with god. I miss you. I felt your presence here when Ken was struggling with cancer.  Because of you I called hospice to help me take care of Ken.  He is in heaven with you now. Playing cards? I miss him so much, although I know he is not struggling with pain anymore, my heart is broken, half of me is gone.  May God bless you both and angels put their arms around you both. Also brother Mickey and brother Porky (Gary).

Mom,Kenny's life has been threaten by a tumor on his brain.  He had surgery and has recovered as if a miracle has taken place. Now we know in deed it was!  We were all of one accord when we prayed. Our Steve has a heart ailment causing tears and great concern from the people that love him. Mom, watch over him and wrap your arms around him when he needs to know you're there. Mick, wisper in his ear that all is well. Loving and missing you both everyday. Linda

Mom, we all gathered at angels camp for another memorial for Micky and also visited with Barb for 3 days.  It was really a nice time for all of us being together and to see nieces and nephews.  we have some more bad news   tho, Ken's brother Porky (Gary) has cancer and doesn't have long to live.  we are so sad with this news.  We just have to pray for him and may God be with him and also all of us.  Miss you and love you,

mom our hearts are broken again, Mickey your baby had a heart attack last night March 3 2013 and went to meet you in heaven. Mom hold him in your arms for all of us and let him know that we love him.  Your baby died and Aunt Marie's baby (Lyn) died two days before Mickey. well here it is the end of January and time is going by so fast.  Linda and Janet will be here in a couple of weeks and then in April we are going to go visit Barbara and Shirley.  I know you will be happy to know that all of your kids will be together for a few days to share memories of yesterday and of course you and dad.  You have left a big impression on the family, kids, grandkids and great grandkids. You would be proud to know that all your children and their children and great grandchildren all miss you and think of you daily. love and miss you.

Hi Grandma hope you had a nice Christmas up there. Had Christmas at my house, with Mom and Ray. Not too many people but, Mom was happy to be here with the great and great great grandkids, it was really nice. Your picture was at the top of the tree, so you were here with us in spirit and thought. I bought a copy of this book for Mom, she loved it. I think that was her best present. Becca and Bobby had to go down to Fresno to  his side of the family. This was their frist year with their mother gone, she passed 2 month after you. Im not doing anything for the New Year Eve thing, just chilling at home. I wish you and all my family a very blessed New Year ahead..Love you

Grandma, Aunt Sandy sent me the most beautiful lil gift I could ever ask for. It was a tree ornament, with your picture in it. I hung it at the top of the tree. It was a sad day on your Birthday Mom. Steve and I were together.  It was our first Thanksgiving without you too.  I have your sun hat on my hall tree.  One day I put it on and looked in the mirror.  And there you were..... staring back at me. Love you, missing you Mom.

Had Thanksgiving dinner with all of my kids and yes mom we played 31.  Bubba won and Juli was happy.  Time is going by so fast and the grandkids  are all going in different directions for their life time careers.  We are so proud of our family.  They are loved very much.  We wish the best for all of them.  They come from a strong and caring generation.  so I am sure they will all be fine

Another Thanksgiving next week. where does  the time go. Our golden years are here and they are not really all that fun.  To all the younger people reading this enjoy life, love and put material things aside and stop and smell the roses. Ken just a week ago had 4 stents put in his heart and he is doing fine.  But it just seems like yesterday that we were young and healthy.  Time flies by so fast.  We are having dinner at Sandy & Joe's.  It would be nice to have my sisters and brothers here.  We love to laugh and have good times.  Laughter is the only thing that is free so do it often family.  Mom laugh with us as we finish our journey on this planet. love you.

Grandma you have another great,great,great grandson born to Desirae Moreno this 9th day of November 2012 at 5:25am. Machael weighed in at 7 lbs 10ounces, 18 1/2"long. She was able to carry him almost full term, he is only 2 weeks early. I know you are watching over us all. Oh, we are having Thanksgiving at my place in honor of you. Im even making Randy his mince meat pie, knowing that is his favorite pie from you. You will be missed greatly at the table, but, will be in each and everyones hearts.

Received word that Butch Betts passed away yesterday. Another one for you to watch over mom.  There seems to be a lot of people that joined you this year, family members and friends.  So you will be busy helping God take care of them all.

Will Grandma , Beccas showed mom how to use her IPad. We set her up with Facebook so she can keep in touch with the family. We are all pretty much on FB. Maybe mom can write in your book now. I'll show her how to get to it when I go up. Beccas was there this weekend and helped her put some pictures on it.

October coming pretty soon snow brrr. I am looking forward to Linda,Sharon and Janet coming to visit.  I wish Barb and
Shirley could make it also.

another birthday for Sandy and Barb, Linda is next week.  September Birthdays.  I spent my birthday in Marquette with Ken, he was getting prepared for a procedure at the hospital.

Learned of Aunt Clara's passing so o after the fact . . . I am so sorry.  Wayne and I loved coming to see her.

Today is Grandparents Day, so a special hug and kiss to my grandparents. I miss you loads and think about you daily.

Grandma I'm making chicken and noodles in honor of you (from scratch). Got up early cuz its gonna be 102 today, so the noodles should dry fast.

Linda and Janet was home last week and we played your favorite game, you were there, been going to a lot of Drs with Ken, the golden years are pretty scary. Last day working at Rick's but will help him out in case of an emergency.

Will Grandma, I finally cut my hair off. It's called a dramatic A-line, short in the back and the rest is at the jaw line. Went to see mom today, She is in mark Twain Hospital cuz she couldn't breath. When see seen me she said, "It's about time". I just regret not getting it done while you were alive. You always told me to get my hair cut short. Even the girls at the shop said "are you really going that far?". I told her she better get with it before I back out..lol
Anyway this haircut is for you. Miss you much..Love you more

talked to Mickey last night, he lost his friend,Ron,to cancer on June 24th, Ron was like a brother to him.  Mick was with him when he died.  We never know what God has planned for us. Say a prayer for Ron and his family and friends.  Take him under your wing mom.  Miss you, Love Sandy

I knew Clara through her daughter barbra, as she is married to my brother, what a great lady she was, so sharp for her age, i am so glad that I got visit with her when i went up to see my brother, and Barb, the end of last year, she had such a great sense of humor, and was so warm and friendly, I will miss not being able to see her this year, she is now out of pain, and in God's hands, proably knitting him a new sweater, may you rest in peace, it was so great knowing her, Simone Boslett.

I met Clara nearly 40 years ago and she was my mother-in-law for almost 20 of those years.  She was always very kind and generous to me and my son, Christopher McMurtrie.  I admired and appreciated her loving ways and her ability to always speak her mind.  She was a very strong and independent woman and I learned a lot from her through the years.  She was a second mom to me.  I will miss her and will always remember her fondly.  My deepest sympathy goes out to all of the McMurtrie family members.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the McMurtrie family. I feel blessed to have known Clara and to be apart of your family. She lived an amazing long life filled with so many experiences, watching the world change at a rapid pace. I always enjoyed the holidays and what fun it was to play poker with her. I am thankful she stayed in this world long enough for both of my boys  to know there great grandma. Lots of loving memories.

Dear Grandma,

We had many good times, with laughter and certainly good food! You will be missed, but always remembered. It was so special for you to make your way all the way from Michigan for our wedding - no easy feat, but you had such spirit. Finn will know you as his Great Great Grandma who made him his two crocheted baby blankets - so he will have your love surrounding him for years. It is so lovely to think you are with other loved ones who have passed before you. Love you always.

A flowering tree was planted in Mom's name as well as several rose bushes in Michigan.

Mom, I sure miss our daily phone calls. I don't know how many times I wanted to pick up the phone to call you.I am so glad that I was able to hug and kiss you goodbye when you went to California. Miss you   Love Janet Curtis
