

Ernest O Wool passed away peacefully in his Milpitas home on September 8, 2015 at the age of 91. He was a lifetime resident of the Milpitas/East San Jose area. Ernest was predeceased by his beloved wife Bonnie.
Ernest is survived by his children Sharon Wright of Santa Maria, Jeff Wool of San Jose, Bart Wool of Milpitas and Scott Wool of Milpitas. Also, grandchildren Brian Wool, Justin Wright, Kyle Wool, and Jessica Curry, Aaron Wool, Nicole and great granddaughter Lyla Rein Wright.
Ernest was drafted before high school graduation and went in the US Army stationed in the Pacific theater.
Ernest was a rancher and orchardist on the family ranch in Milpitas most of his life. In 1969, he built the first privately owned indoor arena in California where he boarded horses. He loved the countless friends that he made at Diamond W Stable over the years.
Ernie was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to walk around the hills where he lived. For many years his favorite times were planning and taking fall hunting trips with his sons and grandsons. He went fishing every chance he got and loved to camp with the family.
A memorial service will be held at the Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Fremont, CA at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 16th with a visitation starting at 10:00am. The address is 48800 Warm Springs Blvd., Fremont, CA 94539.
