"Greg" Nov. 17, 1952 - Nov. 25, 2008, 56 years old, an Oakland Resident passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Maria of 32 years. A loving Father to Avelina Liggins (Tracy) Gregory Figueroa (Nicole) and Mercedes Figueroa. Grandfather to Janessa Figueroa & Zachary De Jesus.Greg is survived by his sister Felicita Figueroa and brother Eriberto Figueroa. Preceded in death by his father Osvaldo Figueroa, mother Maria T. Figueroa, and sister Maria N. Neves. A beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a good friend to many.
Greg retired from Washington Hospital after 28 years of employment. He loved his family, his garden, old cars, and his Craftsman tool collection. Greg enjoyed Puerto Rican music, watching movies and was an Oakland sports fan.
Visitation will be held at 4:00pm Tuesday, December 2nd at Guerrero Mortuary with a rosary beginning at 6:30pm. Funeral services will be held in the Guerrero Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday December 3rd, with a 1:00pm Burial to follow at Cedarlawn in Fremont.
