

He attended Mountain View Elementary School, El Dorado Middle School, and Concord High School in Concord, CA. He attended Diablo Valley College and transferred to UC Davis to earn a Bachelors Degree in History. He then attended University of the Pacific where he earned his Masters Degree in Education. He then moved on to attend Texas A&M Kingsville to earn a Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
During Juans collegiate studies, he taught History at JFK High School in Richmond, CA; Pinole Valley High School in Pinole, CA; and Pearsall High School in Pearsall, TX. Upon earning his Doctorate in Educational Leadership, he became Assistant Principal at Pleasanton Junior High in Pleasanton, TX. Juan was not only dedicated to educating, he was also interested in teachers and students enjoying learning and trusting in the potential of each one of them, that they believe in themselves. As an employee in the administrative area, he made all the staff feel that everyone was important, that perseverance and discipline allowed them to achieve everything. Juan was always the most punctual and disciplined in his work. Juan really loved his job. he always worked very hard but never forgot his family and friends.
He also had time to find love. In the year 2018, he married his wife, Tania Garcia, in the City of San Antonio, TX and to reaffirm their love and marriage, they again married in Mexico City, Mexico in June 2019. It was a marriage full of dreams, It was the happiest marriage. Juan was a very loving husband, his wife says that she is the luckiest woman. Juan is the perfect man for her.
For Juan, Family means a lot, he was always very grateful to each of them, to his mother for giving him life, to his dad for being his rock and making him the great man he is, to his sister for being his best friend and also for giving him a lovely nephew and niece, Carmelo and Gianna Rose, along with his brother in law Aaron. Juan loved his grandparents for always taking care of him, with his friends for every fun moment and trust, with his wife for always being together.
Juan wanted to give continuity to his happiness, share all his knowledge, share his good taste in music, he could never miss Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra , Luther Vandros, The Temptations, The Supremes, Ritchie Valens and many more, in his Playlist, music that perhaps was not from his age but he learned it from his father , for Juan was a great inheritance. His most direct contact with music was through his guitar, which he was self-taught and his beautiful singing voice. Juan,being very young, managed to buy his guitar with his savings. And he also taught some of his students to play the guitar. A heck of a guitar, basketball, tennis, video game, pool, ping-pong and poker player and frequent enjoyer of the Simpsons and Southpark TV shows. When Juan talked about food, his favorite was pizza , but he fell in love with Mexican cuisine and even more so when it was prepared by his family in Mexico .
In February 2020 , he was diagnosed with cancer and in a very decisive way, Juan fought against this disease, Juan never gave up , always trusting that everything would be fine, as his grandfather told him in a dream. Dr. Juan Antonio Quinonez II took his last breath on Sunday, September 12th at sunrise. Grandparents day.
He is survived by his Wife, Tania Garcia; Father, Juan Quinonez Sr; Mother Amanda Castro; Sister Carmen Quinonez; and a great number of family and friends. Always and forever in our thoughts and prayers, Juan, we love, miss, and treasure you. Rest in Peace.
