Pham Kim Loan, a beloved wife and devoted mother, peacefully passed away on December 18, 2024, after a brief period of unconsciousness, free from pain and suffering. While her family mourned the loss, they found great comfort and blessing in how gracefully she has left this earth.
Pham Kim Loan was a delicate and beautiful woman with an unwavering will and determination.
Her strength and resolve were evident in the way she supported her husband during his time in the Viet Nam political re-education camp. Through her dedication, she ensured he received essential food and medicines throughout his ten years of incarceration, ultimately enabling his reunion with the family in America. With the help of her extensive network and the unwavering support of friends who shared her vision, she made it possible for her family of nine children to settle and thrive in the United States. After two perilous boat escapes and a decades-long immigration process, spanning over twenty years, she was the guiding force behind their new life in America.
Pham Kim Loan is survived by her husband, eight daughters, one son, her dear sisters and brothers, and many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She will be remembered by her children as a generous and kind-hearted mother. She gave generously when she encountered homeless people on the street. She was always concerned and gave care to relatives and friends. Her children believe her unconditional kindness may earn her a path to the enlightened world of her beloved Buddhas.
A traditional Buddhist funeral will be held at Lima Family Milpitas-Fremont Mortuary and Cedar Lawn Cemetery, located at 48800 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539. Refreshments will be available throughout the service in a nearby break room. The funeral ceremony will last over long hours. Everyone is welcome to attend all or only part of the ceremony.
The family appreciates your kindness at this difficult time. Your condolences and/or presence at the funeral will have been a great honor and a great comfort. While flowers are welcome, the family will decline any monetary donation.
