Arthur A. "Art" Sattison

He was born on October 26, 1933 in Fremont, Indiana to the late Milo and Neva (Crooks) Sattison.

Art married Della Carol Westfall on June 28, 1952 in Fremont, Indiana, she preceded him in death on December 29, 2020.

He worked in farming for Thousand Acre Camp Ground and worked for Alwood Sawmill, he also worked for Newnam Tire Service in Angola, Indiana, and later retired from Phillips Construction in Auburn, Indiana.

Art enjoyed gardening, working on wood crafts, traveling, pulling ponies, and loved spending time with his grandchildren, going to all their ball games and events over the years.

Survivors include six children; Carol Hankes of Fremont, Indiana, Gene Sattison (Deb Fink) of Montgomery, Michigan, Linda (Kevin) Henderson of Angola, Indiana, Karen (Mike) Stultz of Fremont, Indiana, Sharon (Jimmy) Miller of Fremont, Indiana and Kevin (Gina) Sattison of Montgomery, Michigan, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister; Clara Rheinheimer of Angola, Indiana, and sisters-in-law; Diane Sattison of Angola, Indiana, Sue Sattison of Garrett, Indiana, June Sattison of LaGrange, Indiana, Mary Westfall of Toledo, Ohio, Judy Kimple of Napoleon, Ohio, Jan Westfall of Ponta Gorda, Florida and Evelyn Westfall of Montgomery, Michigan.

He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law; Mark Hankes, brothers; Bill Sattison, Carey Sattison, Carl Sattison, Lawrence “Jiggs” Sattison, Cliff Sattison, Larry Sattison, Jack Sattison, Don Sattison and Mike Sattison.

Visitation will be held from 11 am until 1 pm Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

Funeral Services will follow at 1 pm Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Pastor Tracey Zimmerman will officiate the service.

Burial will be at Fremont Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.
