Barbara Ann McPike

Barbara McPike, age 73, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Northern Lakes Nursing Center, Angola, Indiana. Barbara was born on November 1, 1944 in Peckville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John and Jean (Taldo) Kellagher. She married Brian McPike on February 7, 1964, in Elkton, Maryland. Barbara’s passion was doing crochet and crafts, and she donated many of the items she made to hospitals, and charitable groups. She was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, going to the casino, and playing bingo. Survivors include her husband, Brian McPike of Fremont, Indiana, three daughters, Rhonda McPike King of Tempe, Arizona, Paula (Corey) DeMeritt of Coldwater, Michigan, and Victoria Oset of Angola, Indiana, two sons, Mark McPike of Angola, Indiana, and Robert McPike of Tempe, Arizona, and 13 grandchildren, William Oset, Joseph Oset, Patrick McPike, Kindsey McPike, Kayla McPike, Robert King, Shayna King, Adam Thorne, Elizabeth Thorne, Logan DeMeritt, Mark McPike, Charlie McPike, and Erika McPike. Following her wishes cremation will take place. Private family services will be held at a later time. Memorial donations in her memory are requested local hospitals, and children’s hospitals.
