Carl Wesley Book

He was born on February 23, 1948 in Van Wert, Ohio to the late Orley and Ellen (Lamb) Book.

Carl proudly served his Country in the United States Navy, serving 3 tours of duty in Vietnam, and was a proud member of the SEABEES.

He was a longtime mechanic, serving as a certified mechanic for Chrysler. He later worked for General Products in Angola, Indiana. He also enjoyed working with and beside his sons, Jason and Jeff at Book Tree Service and Book Roofing. Carl was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his children, Pamela Ringler, Christopher Book, Jason (Jennifer) Book and Jeffrey Book, all of Fremont, Indiana, grandchildren, Lauren Jeremy) Skelly, Samantha (David) Chatfield, Ciara Ringler, CJ (Megan) Book, Frankie (Chantal) Book, Dustin Book, Cole Book, eight great-grandchildren, brothers, Ron (Linda) Book of Fremont, Indiana and Robert (Linda) Book of Evansville, Indiana.

He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Collin Wesley Book, a great-grandson, a brother, Wayne Book, a sister, Stefaney Robins and a son-in-law, Tony Ringler.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at the home of Jason Book, 5665 East 540 North, Fremont, Indiana on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 2 pm until 6 pm to Celebrate The Life of Carl Book.

Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.
