Carol Ann McNaughton

She was born April 1, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio, to John and Lucille (Foster) Girrell. They preceded her in death.

On January 1, 1952, she married Waldo Alvin McNaughton at the Fremont United Methodist Church, and he preceded her in death on February 24, 2012.

She was manager of Sabin Acres Trailer Park, Fremont, IN.

She attended Fremont High School, was a member of the Fremont Moose Lodge and attended the Fremont United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her family, friends and grandchildren, and enjoyed knitting and doing crafts.

Surviving are: two sons, Steven Brock McNaughton, Angola, IN, and Tim Alvin McNaughton, Franklin, IN; one daughter, Denice “Moe” Curry, Angola, IN; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Janice and Jerry Crawford, Fremont, IN, Jane Box, Hawthorne, FL, and Darlene Collins, Sarasota, FL; and two brothers-in-law, Jim and Kay Knauss, Mesa, AZ, and Bill and Mary Knauss, Reading, MI.

Preceding her in death were: her husband, Waldo Alvin McNaughton; her parents; a son-in-law, Steven Curry; and a brother, Edmond Girrell.

Funeral service is 1 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, IN, with Rev. Darin Hendrey of the Fremont United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Jamestown Cemetery, Fremont, IN.

Memorials are requested to the Northeastern Center or to the Steuben County Cancer Association.
