

Charlie was born on January 23, 1936 in Montgomery, Michigan, the son of Edwin and Mary (Dickinson) Miller, they preceded him in death.
He graduated from Montgomery High School. Charlie was a lifetime farmer, and worked for Eckrich Foods in Quincy, Michigan for 25 years.
He married Judy Chapin on December 12, 1953, in Angola, Indiana, and she preceded him in death on February 24, 2008, while wintering in Florida.
They liked to spend their winters in Moore Haven, Florida, where they enjoyed the warm weather, and taking boats rides. In his earlier years, he enjoyed riding his snowmobile, hunting, fishing, camping, and helping at the Branch County Fair, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was a United States Army Veteran, a member of the Montgomery American Legion Post # 156, the Fremont Moose Lodge, the National Wild Turkey Federation, and volunteered with the Glades County Sheriff’s Department, and was the Superintendant for the Branch County Swine Barns for many years.
Survivors include his five children, Mary Anne (Jim) VanKampen, Randy (Charity) Miller, Kim (Jeff) Ewers, Pamela Miller, and Charles E. (Alena) Miller, Jr., 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, a step-grand-daughter, and one great-grandchild on the way.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Anne Miller.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 Noon until 4 pm, Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Montgomery American Legion Post, Montgomery, Michigan.
Burial will be held at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Montgomery American Legion Post # 156, or to the Glades County, Florida Law Enforcement Agency.
