Darlene Opal Brewer

She was born in Dearborn, Michigan on July 4, 1948 to Harry Lisle and Beulah Mae (Zeigler) DeMeritt. They preceded her in death.

She graduated from Bronson High School in 1966. She enjoyed reading, collecting porcelain dolls, dogs, and yard sales. She leaves behind her pet dogs, Tiffa, and Toby.

Survivors include her daughter, Kristina Brewer, her sons, Larry and (Deneta) Brewer, and Rowland Brewer, all of Angola, Indiana, brothers, James (Betty) DeMeritt, and Herbert (Sheri) DeMeritt, and David (Ella) DeMeritt, all of Bronson, Michigan, a grandson, Chase Brewer of Angola, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce VanHorn, and brothers, Harry “Bud” DeMeritt, and Jerry DeMeritt.

Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

Burial will take place at a later time at East Gilead Cemetery, Bronson, Michigan

Memorials may be made to The Humane Society of Steuben County, The American Heart Association, or The American Diabetes Association.
