He was born Nov. 12, 1942 in Fort Wayne to Robert W. and Evelyn (Green) Thain.
Mr. Thain was a retired truck driver for a hardwood lumber yard. He graduated from New Haven High School. He was an avid antique light collector, enjoyed drag racing and working on cars. He formerly lived in Arizona and enjoyed the western states and mountains.
Survivors include his companion: Nancy Thain of Angola; two sons: Dennis Thain of Florida and Robert Thain of Butler; two step-daughters: Valerie and John Zenizo of Vail, Ariz. and Dawn and Don Saak of Bountiful, Utah; his mother: Evelyn Thain of Fort Wayne; two brothers: Kelvin and Irene Thain of Columbia City and Lyle Thain of Fort Wayne; and one sister: Arlene and Mike Koester.
He was preceded in death by his father.
There will be no visitation and no funeral services.
