Donald E. "Pete" Sattison

He was born on July 30, 1940 in Angola, Indiana to the late Harley Harold “Buck” and Ina L. (Morrison) Sattison.

Don graduated from Fremont High School in 1958.

He married Katherine Ann “Kathy” Newbauer on November 28, 1964 in Montgomery, Michigan.

Don retired from Dana-Weatherhead in Angola, Indiana. He also worked around Clear Lake for many years, putting in docks, and checking cottages for families on the lake.

He served in the United States Army from 1963 until 1965 and was stationed in Germany.

Don enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Sattison of Clear Lake, Fremont, Indiana, son, Bruce Sattison of Fremont, Indiana, daughter, Susie Adams (Mike Potter) of Edon, Ohio, grandchildren, Trevor (Jasmine) Adams of Quincy, Michigan and Brittany (Nick) Kellogg of Edon, Ohio, great-grandchildren, Lorraina Kellogg and Remington Adams, a sister, Sharon Mundy of Montgomery, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Marjorie Sattison, and a brother-in-law, Harold Mundy.

Visitation will be held from 4 pm until 7 pm Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Rev. Jon Bruney will officiate the service.

Burial will be at the Ray-Covenanter Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana with Military Honors.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be directed in care of the family.
