He was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 8, 1930 to Viateur J. and Edna M. (Rivard) LaBranche, they preceded him in death.
Ernest married Lucille Russette, they were happily married for 44 years. She preceded him in death on November 26, 2000.
He worked for Roadway Freight Lines in Roseville, Michigan, and retired after many years.
Ernest was an avid bowler.
Survivors include his children, Diane (Jim) Hill of Coldwater, Michigan, Robert (Deb) LaBranche of Grand Blanc, Michigan, and Carol LaBranche of Novi, Michigan, grandchildren, James E. Hill, Jr., Christina Hill, Angela (Frank) Kelton, Crystal (Luke) Stremlau, and Ryan (Kelly) LaBranche, and great-grandchildren, Rory, Kiera, and Xazier.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, Township, Michigan.
