Herbert K. Miller

Mr. Miller was a retired manager for Home Telephone, General Telephone and Verizon Telephone Company in Fort Wayne. He retired in 1982 after 42 years of service and moved to Lake George.

He was a member of the Fort Wayne Verizon Retirees Club.

Mr. Miller was a 1940 graduate of Fort Wayne Central High School.

He was born April 29, 1922, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Herbert L. and Nellie (Briggs) Miller. They preceded him in death.

He married Laura E. ‘‘Petie’’ Augspurger on June 27, 1942, in Fort Wayne. She survives at Lake George, Fremont.

Also surviving are two daughters, Karen and Tom Elliott of Fort Wayne and Sandra and Bud Hall of Fort Wayne; a son, David and Sue Miller of Columbus, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Abby and Ian Dick, Ellie and Mike Tullis, Kris and Jeff Black, Libby and Ed Alvarez, Matt and Stacie Hall, Tim and Cara Hall, Kate and David Boyer, Megan and Patrick Burton, Sara and Matt Machall, Peter and Angie Hall, Luke and Elisabeth Hall and Anna and Lou Henry; and 37 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Miller, and a grandson, Don Hall III.

Private family funeral services will be held at a later date.
