

He was born on November 4, 1967 at Cameron Hospital, Angola, Indiana.
Jeff graduated from Angola High School in 1986.
He later proudly served as a medical specialist in the infantry for the US Army from 1989 until 1994. He received several medals and awards during his time with the Army. He received the Campaign ribbon award, Army service ribbon, National Defense Service medal, Army Lapel button, Kuwait Liberation medal, Southwest Asia Service medal with three bronze stars and a Sharpshooter (M16 Rifle) and (Hand Grenade) Expert award during the Gulf War.
Jeff was self-employed and the owner of JST Lawncare.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Ginny and James Young of Coldwater, Michigan, sisters, Debbie (Brad) Fry of Webster, Florida and Dawn (Terry) Wood of Inverness, Florida, a half-brother, Nathan (Tiffany) Willms of Fayette, Ohio, a half-sister, Heather Willms of Montpelier, Ohio, step-brothers, David Young of Orland, Indiana, James (Cyndi) Young, Jr. of Angola, Indiana, many nieces and nephews and we cannot forget his American Legion family and the Corner Pocket and Fremont Pub family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald D. Willms in 2002, a step-sister, Deb Butler in 2024 and a step-brother, Mike Young in 2025.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fremont American Legion Cassel Post # 257 from 12 noon until 2 pm, Sunday, January 25, 2026.
Burial with Military Honors will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana, at a later date.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be directed in care of the Fremont American Legion Cassel Post # 257, Fremont, Indiana.
