She was born on April 20, 1981 to Loy “J” and Kathleen (West) Moore. It wasn’t long after when she started crawling backwards to get stuck under furniture, and soon running in circles around their farmhouse. She began her life of service at an early age, excelling in household activities like cooking. She discovered the value of a thoughtful pan of brownies and brought treats to many occasions. Once driving, she served as a candy striper for outpatient physical therapy, where she began her lifelong interest in the medical field. Despite her years of working in Labor and Delivery as a surgical technologist, she shed those responsibilities to become a full-time homemaker with the birth of her first child. Over the next 16 years, she perfected an herb-butter turkey recipe that cooks in 90 minutes, becoming a minor trauma surgeon (with kit) for tiny people, and a regular at multiple Bible Study groups. Gifted with a listening ear and the wisdom collected by decades of developing new friendships in strange lands, she became invaluable to her family, friends, and church. Sadly for them, she also set standards of care and love that can never be replicated, and the vacuum that remains will constantly remind them of the special person who once could achieve them.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Kyle Becker of Angola, Indiana, her children, Declan, Riordan, Kieran and Julianna, all at home, parents, Loy “J” and Kathleen Moore of Advance, Missouri, and a sister, Kathryn (Darin) Eggimann of Advance, Missouri.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time at Fairview Missionary Church.
