He was born in Angola, Indiana on October 15, 1959.
He graduated from Prairie Heights High School, and formerly lived at Orland, Indiana. He formerly worked for Letica Corporation in Fremont, Indiana for fourteen years.
His hobbies were hunting and cooking.
Survivors include two sons, Zachary (Dakesha) Straw of Avilla, Indiana, and Chase (Jackie) Straw of Angola, Indiana, four grandchildren, Zain, Kameron, Olivia, and Landon, and his parents, Marjorie and Richard Petty of Angola, Indiana.
Following his wishes cremation has taken place.
Graveside Services will be held at 11 am Monday August 2, 2016 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana, with Rev. Darin Hendrey officiating.
Memorials are to the Humane Society of Steuben County, 1700 N 200 W, Angola, Indiana.
